From Libo Station to Xiaoqikong: transfers, luggage and the journey back
Plan the first journey after arrival together with your hotel location, scenic-area entrance and departure. Decide whether to go straight to the scenic area or check in first, then choose transport that fits.
Name your first stop precisely: hotel, east entrance or west entrance
In its 2024 Qingming holiday tourism information, Libo County described tourist buses departing from Libo Station and Libo Airport and linking the town with Xiaoqikong and other scenic areas. That makes them worth considering, but a historical report is not a current timetable.
Write down the exact location of your first stop. If going straight to the scenic area, confirm your intended entrance; if going to a hotel first, provide its map pin. Before buying a ticket or reserving a transfer, match the destination name to the actual drop-off point and ask about departures, luggage conditions and charges.
What should you compare between a tourist bus and a reserved transfer?
This is a framework for checking transport options, not a promise of service from any operator. For a group of two to five, compare the actual whole-group cost while also considering luggage and waiting arrangements.

Arriving in the afternoon: should you visit Xiaoqikong that day?
Our suggestion is to start with your train arrival time and deduct the time needed to leave the station, deal with luggage, travel and reach the entrance. Then check that day's admission and opening arrangements. If there is too little time for the parts you want to see, consider checking in first and saving the main visit for the following day.
A next-day visit also needs to fit your departure. Ask the actual provider whether a hotel or another location can store luggage and when you can collect it. Do not assume a luggage service mentioned online in the past will be available that day.
Work backwards from your departing train
Use 12306 to check train services, availability and arrival or departure information for the relevant date. Once you have chosen your return train, work backwards through station entry, transport to the station, luggage collection and leaving the scenic area. Add a buffer for waiting and changing road conditions.

The county's previous tourism information has described this type of service. Before travelling, still confirm whether it runs that day, which entrance it serves, the actual departures and the fare. Do not reuse figures from an old guide.
