Exploring the Shuichun River, Libo: valley scenery and checks before rafting
For another view of Libo, consider the Shuichun River in the Zhangjiang valley. Forest and river offer a different focus from bridges and waterfalls. Confirm the scenery you want to see separately from the activities actually available that day, and the journey can feel more relaxed.
Get to know the valley before deciding how to experience it
A 2023 Libo rural-tourism route published by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism introduces the Shuichun River's gorge, river and woodland scenery. It offers background on the valley's place within Libo's landscapes.
Its appeal is a valley-scale view of Libo's greenery and changing water. Put it on your wish list first. Once actual public sightseeing access or a water-based activity is confirmed, choose the option that suits this trip.

Turn 'opening unconfirmed' into a check before departure
This page marks rafting as 'opening unconfirmed'. When contacting the actual operator, first ask whether it is receiving visitors on your date, which activities are available and the current meeting point. Obtain clear confirmation before arranging related transport and other bookings.
Even if you see information saying the scenic area is open, still check whether that includes your intended rafting activity and whether seasonal, river-condition, weather or maintenance restrictions apply. Without confirmation, keep this part of the trip flexible instead of fixing an opening month from an old guide.

Ask separately about the activity, meeting point and return
'Going to the Shuichun River' is not a complete travel arrangement. Confirm the activity's operation, transport to the meeting point and return location separately, then check inclusions and date-change terms. This reduces the chance of discovering a different arrangement from the one you expected after you arrive.
| What to check | Specific information needed | How it affects planning |
|---|---|---|
| That day's operation | Whether your intended activity is open and whether reservations are needed | Make it a confirmed itinerary item only after confirmation |
| Meeting and finish | Exact locations, arrival requirements and return point | Plan outbound and return travel separately |
| Your companions | Participation requirements and options explained by the actual provider | Do not assume the activity suits everyone |
| Charges and changes | Whether the activity and transfers are included, and change or refund terms if suspended | Keep these terms separate from other bookings |

Look forward to the valley, and leave room for a change
If operation is confirmed, give the experience its own time block, including meeting, return travel and time to get organised and rest afterwards. Do not put an unmissable return train immediately after it while the finish arrangements remain unconfirmed.
If you only want a river view, first check which viewing locations are currently open to the public; do not assume every riverside section has an open path. If the visit cannot go ahead, choose an arrangement confirmed to be open. Neither riverside sightseeing nor rafting is a default replacement when weather stops operations at another scenic area.

Frequently asked questions
Can I go rafting on the Shuichun River now?
This page has not obtained an operator notice establishing current actual operation, so it is marked 'opening unconfirmed'. Check directly for your travel date. Until then, do not treat rafting as a settled itinerary item.
Does a Xiaoqikong ticket let me join Shuichun River activities directly?
Do not assume tickets are interchangeable or that transfers are included. Check the ticket you actually bought, applicable activities, reservations and transport conditions before making a separate arrangement.
Is it suitable for children or companions who want less walking?
Ask the actual provider to explain participation requirements, meeting and transfer arrangements and alternatives for this specific activity, then consider your companions' wishes. Old photographs or labels such as 'leisure rafting' cannot establish that it suits everyone.
